Terms & Conditions — JotJive

Last updated: 7 June 2026

Draft — this is a starting template prepared by TriCode Studio. JotJive did not have a separately published Terms page on Google Play at the time of writing. Please review and adjust before treating it as final.

By downloading, installing or using JotJive - Notes & Echo Journal (the “App”), published by TriCode Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in accordance with these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. What you may not do

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative versions of the App, or any part of it.
  • Attempt to extract, decompile, or reverse-engineer the source code, except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices or trademarks.
  • Use the App in any unlawful way or in breach of these terms.

3. Your content is yours — and stays on your device

JotJive is an offline-first app. Your notes, todos, voice recordings, moods and topics are stored only on your device; we do not receive, host, or have access to them. You are solely responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups. Because your content lives on your device, clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App will permanently delete it. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Microphone permission

Recording a voice journal requires microphone access, which is used only when you actively start a recording. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record any audio you capture.

5. No ads, no accounts

JotJive does not display advertising, does not require an account, and does not include third-party analytics or tracking. It does not require an internet connection to function.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your locally stored data will never be lost.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TriCode Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, or any loss of data (including notes or recordings stored on your device), arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

8. Updates & availability

We may update, change, or discontinue the App (or any feature) at any time. Some updates may be required for the App to continue working. We may also stop providing the App without prior notice.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
